Lavender Field — Original Painting

An original painting of a lavender field in full bloom — with no horizon, no sky and no empty space. Only lavender, row after row, filling the canvas from edge to edge.

I painted it the way a lavender field actually feels when you stand in the middle of it: the flowers close in around you, above you, everywhere you look, until colour is the only thing left.

Every stem was painted individually. Each blossom is built from hundreds of small strokes — violet, lilac, pink and deep purple — layered over greens that move from almost black in the shadows to bright, sunlit yellow-green where the light hits the leaves. Up close you can see each separate flower. Step back, and the whole surface begins to move.

This painting asked for patience more than anything else. Thousands of small, repeated strokes, one after another, over many days. There was no way to rush it, and I think that quietness stayed in the finished work.

Lavender is a colour I keep coming back to. It is calm and intense at the same time — soft in a single flower, overwhelming in a whole field.

Every stroke was painted by me using my feet, which makes this artwork completely unique and deeply connected to my personal artistic journey.
