I was born in Novi Sad in 1994, without arms. That is the first thing people notice about me, and usually the last thing I think about.

I learned to do everything with my feet — dress, eat, write — and when I was six I picked up a brush between my toes. By nine I had become the youngest member of VDMFK, the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists, and I have painted under contract with them ever since.

Painting became something I studied, not only something I did. I finished the "Bogdan Šuput" School of Design in Novi Sad in 2014, and in 2018 I enrolled at the Academy of Classical Painting at EDUKONS University in Sremska Kamenica, where I earned my degree as a painter.

For years I lived two lives at once. Next to the studio there was the mat: European Champion in para-taekwondo in Plovdiv in 2018, World Champion in Antalya in 2019, and I defended that title in Istanbul in 2021. I closed that chapter in 2023, when my husband Marko and I welcomed our daughter Lara and I became a mother. The discipline stayed.

My work has travelled further than I ever expected — solo exhibitions across Serbia and the region, from Novi Sad and Belgrade to Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Osijek, Bitola, Ljubljana and Zagreb, and group exhibitions in Paris, New York, Dubai and Ohrid. In 2025 I represented Serbia at AccessAbilities Expo in Dubai as the only participant from Europe, and was invited to paint live at the 3 Artists Street festival in Fujairah.

Along the way there have been recognitions I am proud of: the Golden Mask of Alexander I of Macedon in Ohrid (2014), the Japan Prize (2018), Youth Heroes (2019), "Svetislav Milić — To the Young, From the Heart" (2021), and the Milunka Savić award in 2024.

Today I paint from my studio in Petrovaradin — animals, cities and portraits, in colours that are loud on purpose. In 2024 I passed my driving test and became a driver — I drive with my feet. I raise my daughter, and together with Marko I have built Girl with Wings into a community of more than five million people. In October 2026 we open a Creative Centre for people with disabilities, a space where anyone who wants to create is welcome.

I do not paint my disability, and I never paint sadness. I paint movement, light and colour, because that is how I actually experience the world.

If there is one idea behind everything I make, it is this: your difference does not have to be hidden. It can become your signature.
